Interstate hostages:

I have visited them and collected them when she allows.

At first, when she took them, she gave me no phone number or address.

I try to talk to them by phone every day but only get through once every two or three days.

Eight months now - she at first said she was going on holidays, then staying with mum for a few weeks.

All the time I'm trying through Family Relationships and Interrelate to mediate.

She is too busy and does not want to talk about kids etc. Months pass.

My ex took my kids 3 and 5 six hours drive.

I'm interested in any advice on the best way of getting them back.

What constitutes a genuine effort in family dispute resolution?:

A genuine effort is a very flexible term indeed.

In my case, my ex refused to discuss matters pertaining to the children, and would only discuss finances.

I think this is still deemed a genuine effort… curiously. :)
