Why don't you start one in the appropriate section?

Could you move it to the appropriate section?
Pretty please with sprinkles on top  :$

I can move heaven and earth but not threads in this forum :-)

This is my situation too, I would love somewhere that I could get advice as we are no longer in court (we have final orders) but there are always ongoing things that come up in our ongoing dealings with our grandsons parents. We are dealing with parents who don't seem to think they need to abide by court orders or meet stipulated timelines. Decisions are difficult because we never know if what we are doing could be seen as a breach of our orders.

Hi NannyB, if you are on facebook (it has its uses) I run a support group for grandparent/kinship carers, we are 169 strong and growing rapidly, we offer support understanding and a place to vent. If you can look us up [ Australian Grandparent/Kinship Carers] we'd love to have you on board and our members have a wealth of lived information.

Grandparent carers:

Anyone ? Maybe if there is no one specific area the moderators could start one as most kith and kin carers are navigating the family law system with absolutely no support. These children come to us because their parents are unable or unwilling to provide a safe and stable environment for them. We do not steal these children, they are thrown at us and if we refuse they go into the system. Please can there be a thread started specific to Kin and Kith fulltime carers?  :(

SSAT decision

Hi all, after a long hard battle with csa which ended with us taking their decision(s) to the SSAT, i would like to let members of this forum know that it can sometimes be useful doing the hard yards and fighting for fairness.  In our case csa would not apply the same rules to the ex as they did to us so we appealed through the SSAT and their decision has came back in our favour which in effect has turned our debt into a debt now owed by the ex. She now owes us money, which we won't ever see but thats irrelevant to us, the fact that these people listened and indeed heard and then acted is win enough for us.  Thank you to all the members who have helped me on this site, without your input I wouldn't have gone as far and would probably still be whining at 'the injustice of the system'.  Good luck to everyone still struggling.  :):)

CSA "reconciling" estimates 8 YEARS old!:

Anyone subject to an estimate at any point should be expecting CSA to come a calling/collecting.
Does that mean payers AND payees and will it include when roles are reversed IE payer changing to payee?  I have been away for a while and am unaware of this new development. Whats happening? Also 'sounfair' if you have lodged tax returns in the past I wouldn't be too concerned either, those who haven't lodged would be the ones to be worried IMHO.

Request from SSAT

Hi, I am hoping someone could answer a question I have regarding information to be sent to SSAT. Our case ended in November 08 and because we have an appeal still going through, SSAT have requested documentation to be provided. However their wording of the request states '3 most recent payslips'. Would that be payslips directly before case ended or paylips from now. Have asked the case officer and he said 'payslips from now' but I can't see the relevance of them because the case has already ended. Any suggestions?O_o

applying income to csa rules:

Thanks IsntLifeGrand, will take this to the ssat when we see them. Done the coa and the objection. I was told that they would not adjust the figures because 1.Income deemed under a coa is set in concrete and 2.It would be a waste of tax payers money with the time it would take to make the adjustment.  I can't write what my answer to them re; point 2 was as the controls on this site (thankfully) won't alow it.

The template search will find all entries matching the criteria. For example, a search with a criteria of ‘Manhattan’ in the field named ‘Description’ (assuming there is one) would find any entries containing the substring ‘Manhattan’ in the ‘Description’ field.

If there are additional categories available underneath a category then there will be a clickable ‘plus’ icon shown to the left of it. Choose your selection by clicking the label (you will see it get highlighted). Hold the ctrl key to expand all child categories also.
