Topic #2544 (no title):

You have helped Paddy, just by adding your feelings and experience in relation to this topic it can help others to see that we all experience the same emotions and problems when it comes to court dealings regarding our children. It is not gender specific by all means, but it needs to be understood by the people that make the judgements.

Topic #2544 (no title):

I wounder how A court would react when it is stated that the depressive state is a result of separation. and, or non or minimal contact with the parents children or child? I don't think there would be anyone who would argue that point, and I read some were that separation is resposible for several millions of dollars in lost productivity each year as well!

I want to move 2 hours away with my son from his father:

Speaking as a father of Young children Red, I would not be happy if my ex were to move further away from my home. But the only reason this is my home, is because my children live here and there is more family here on the mothers side then mine, I think that in the best interest of the child it is good to surround the children with family even though geographical placement is not possible to please both parents, the offer that has been made to you would be very worth considering. If you are so open to traveling the distance to allow the father to have over night contact why do you put a restraint on phone contact to three nights a week? I had open phone contact with my children but as your case may be, it was via the Grandparents phone and it was denied. Personally I do not know much about Cystic Fibrosis but I will now look it up to understand it more.
It sounds to me that the father doesnt want his child to move to far out of contact but may also be restrained from traveling due to employment. I think it is a very good gesture that the people who moderate this site have made to you and I hope you appreciate the offer. But most of all I wish your son all the best

Consent Order vs Parenting plan:

This is all good advice Simitar and it was a simple no fuss process getting the orders stamped by the local registrar with my paper work, but remember you need both parties to sign off before you can lodge it. How does your ex feel about your eldest daughter wanting to spend more time with you and your partner?

So many problems - where to start?:

I would also suggest making an appointment with the police  regarding the alleged child abuse, If child protection have made contact then they should of also made a submission to the police concerning the alleged abuse. The police will have to log it and it will be on file for further reference.

What can a court order?

Can a court order a parent to return a child to a non compulsory activity, eg sports, extra tuition or even day care?  by that I mean the major care parent.

If there are additional categories available underneath a category then there will be a clickable ‘plus’ icon shown to the left of it. Choose your selection by clicking the label (you will see it get highlighted). Hold the ctrl key to expand all child categories also.
