Does Child support Agency Update FAO?

Last year there was a quite involved change of care that was made via the child support agency and was managed by a specialist team. It was determined that my care of the child exceeded 65%. I understood that the change can be made through CSA or FAO. I assumed this would mean that CSA would update FAO of these changes and vice versa.Apparently this is not the case & I now have to fill in a form to change the level of care with FAO.

Is this correct, should I need to go through all this again? Cant CSA just update them effective from the change date last year?

Court Orders, Interim Determinations and Teens.... :

We have just been through something similar, the teenage child was told not to come to my place for half school holidays, then Mum rang CSA and said that child did not come to mine half hols and will not be coming to mine for half school hols, therefore increasing the child support by a fair amount.Mum is happy for me to continue to manage all school work. How kind.

I objected to this. Thanks to this site and some helpful objections people.I found out that it is all about actual level of care, if you have a parenting order you can ask to have your 14 weeks interim at the old amount, while you are making an attempt to have this rectified. This means to most initiating court action, not just mediation. In addition,it is meant to be a pattern of actual care, they said 3/5 or 5/8, which I am not really clear on, because in our case it was one week in over 10 years.

As it turns out the child decided to live with me.So, in our case our objection was upheld and care levels returned as they were and more. In addition, the objections officer said that one week of school holidays should not have changed anything. They treated school holidays and school terms differently. So, really they should have waited for a couple of school holidays to occur before claiming a pattern.

I was also told that if Mum emails and says that the child is not coming to your any more and even if you reply and say ,"I dont agree", then they take that as actual evidence that, that is what is going to happen. So up goes your child support. They told me not to reply to any emails or texts.

It is a really horrible situation to be in, and made us feel completely helpless and at the mercy of CSA and a teenager. We still are, child can change their mind at any time.

Objection 1 month overdue.:

I was told to complain if I didnt get a decision 60 days after my objection was submitted. My objection was upheld, but it was a decision about levels of care.Your objection is financial?? Shame you are having such trouble, I found the objections people to be so helpful and I spent hours picking their brains.

Petition to the CSA/Minister:

I dont understand why all income is not included, my ex gets parenting payment plus family tax benefit, rent assistance and austudy. I worked out that she gets about $30k in the hand (then add in my child support). This is equal to over $50k salary. However, I pay her based on approximately $16,400.

Passport:

It would probably be a good idea to contact the passport information line. I have a copy of the child passport form here and it does say "I declare that all persons with parental responsibility for the child to travel internationally, or where this has not occurred, a statement under the Australian Passports act 2005 and all other court orders in relation to the child have been provided."

The passport form requires consent from both parents. However if they cant get the consent from both (eg dont know the whereabouts of on parent) to telephone 131232 for advice.

Waiting for a Child Support Objection Decision:

Is it 60 days from when they made their original decision to change my child support or 60 days from the date of my objection to their decision?

Waiting for a Child Support Objection Decision

I am waiting for a child support objection decision and I was told that there may have been a request for an extension by the other side. However, they refused to tell me if there was a request for an extension.
I dont understand why I am not allowed to know if there is an extension on my case or not..is this correct?
