A six-year-old girl has been reunited with her mother after her New Zealand father allegedly snatched her from her home in the Czech Republic and fled to Australia.

The girl's mother flew to Australia after her daughter was found in Sydney.
The mother said
I am not dealing with this very well. I am at the end of my strength, I am living in a hotel in Sydney and while it is no luxury hotel it costs a lot to stay here. I am worried I will run out of money but I am determined to see this through.
The girl's father, a New Zealand man who lives in Australia, is accused of taking his daughter from her mother's house in Zakava, in the west of the Czech Republic, last month and fleeing to Sydney.

Police from the Czech Republic have launched legal action against the girl's father, accusing him of harming other people's rights.

He could face up to two years in jail or a hefty fine if found guilty.

An Australian court is expected to decide next month whether the girl should be returned to her mother permanently.
