Monaro's day in court

Today I had the pleasure of watching monaro in court. He is under a tremendous amount of pressure with other issues - but today he performed very well; yes that is correct! He read from a script, which gave him another chance in court, but he also played the other side as well as the magistrate. It just goes to show what can be achieved.

Well done monaro.

PS - monaro also spoke from the heart, was emotional but was very polite to the magistrate. This not only went in his favour but he was also given some non too subtle advice by the FM…..

DO NOT TRY CONTEMPT OF COURT - IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PROVE.

Congrats Monaro just popped in and read Monteverdi's post.

Well done Monaro, don't forget to share with us your experiences today. I for one am all ears and pleased you went well.

When you are swimming down a creek and an eel bites your cheek, that's a Moray.
Well done Monaro and thanks for being an inspiration to others.
Well done. You survived the trial by fire, Monaro…

I look forward to sharing the experience, vicariously.

Well Done

A message to all who would represent themseleves in a Family Law matter. Have a look at your case through someone elses eyes. They are probably not caught up in your turmoil and will see things you don't.

For me - Shared Parenting is a Reality - Maybe it can be for you too!
Well done Monaro. I think many of us are waiting to hear your version of todays events.

Thanks indeed to the support from some dedicated Senior SRL-Resource execs and Moderators (To mention Montieverdi is already said), without whom the disadvantaged in the system would be trampled and thrown around like flotsam. It was also yet again a credit to the FM (who is known to us) and who continues to give those less advantaged in his court the absolute maximum amount of Australian ethos …a "Fair Go!"

Although he has not yet resolved the case and there is more to do, monaro has come away knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel, it is not such a dark place as it was last week and he has another day to be prepared for and been given the time and instructions to prepare properly. There is now a ray of hope, a thread that has been given to him by the court that he did not have last week. It could have been a lot worse.

We will follow your case with interest and watch to see that the rules of engagement and the support you should now have in the revised Act (for a meaningfull involvment with your children) are delivered to the full.

Some good advice. Get to the contact isuses, the big picture issues and a good result to follow we would hope. There is nothing to loose by having a little respect and polite behaviour is a must.

He did receive a 'script' prompt from Legal Aid but great credit must go to monaro for 'holding it together' when he has been under enormous pressure recently.

Why don't you mention the FM? its well known on this site the opinions we have about Altobelli.
