SRL Site - what is happening

Add Topic
I sent an application to the SRL site nearly 3 weeks ago. I spoke to someone from the group fairly extensively and got some good advice and information.  I am now waiting to hear if I have  been accepted.  I have a child dispute conference coming up and another court date at the end of June.  I am self represented in a contravention, change of orders case.  I have requested some feedback both by email and in a phone message as to whether or not I have been accepted and have heard nothing.  I was told it would take 3 -4 days over 2 weeks ago.

I am feeling rather annoyed as I don't know what is happening.  I am wondering if it is a fair dinkum group open to all to who apply who are self representing or not.  An answer one way or another with a reason as to why I haven't been accepted is not an unreasonable request.  Am I completely wrong here and making too many assumptions or is there some sort of problem with trying to get onto the SRL site?

I gave only the bare basics of my case, and there is a lot more to it that I did not wish to reveal until I knew it was safe.

Can anyone please help me with this?

The SRL-Resources people are all volunteers and most have other work on as well. I will bring your post to attention of one of the SRL people and ask them to get back to you in the next 24 hours. If you have some generic questions have you looked through the site here and or are they something that our members might assist with?

thanks Secretary, I appreciate that.  I do understand they are volunteers and busy, but it is very frustrating to send my information off, speak to someone and then hear nothing back for weeks.
There aren't any specific questions I have, just want to start reading as much as I can to prepare.
I am wondering about the child dispute conference though.  As it is admissable, I wondered what information comes out of it and goes to the Magistrate?  Does anyone have any tips, hints for the conference?
Thanks

Have you read the "Over 100 returns" on this subject through the site search engine?

Search for "child dispute conference". There is a lot of interesting material.

Thanks, unfortunately I had already done that and didn't find much that helped me though.  I have spoken to one of the SRL again and he put my mind at rest that they are very busy and will let me know as soon as they can if I have been accepted.  Thanks again for your response.
