Add Topic

Moderator Note

Note after being here 2 years it might be expected that you would have read some of the site areas.

Having a go at the Moderators

Funnily enough, I had the same question, and couldnt find an answer, but reading your moderator note am I supposed to feel like a moron too?

Isearched for this, couldnt find it, maybe look at your own site and think how you could improve its navigation rather than trying to make the poster feel small.

Ive seen a trend of this through posts on this website, ie; trend of moderator notes acting all high and mighty, and to be honest I like the idea of this site and want to post on it because I think I can help people from time to time as ive been through court and been successful, but on the other hand some of your moderators need to get lives because it seems like they are power trippers.

You could have just posted the link, but no you had to add "Note after being here 2 years it might be expected that you would have read some of the site areas"

Now strangely enough in the first site forum there are pdf and word files that show basic site navigation. The very first picture points to the help button and low and behold when you click this there is a side bar that has contact us on it. Now of I had a problem and couldnt find the answer I would use this. Since it brings up a link to support admin I could make a reasonable assumption it was going straight to administration. Pity after being here a year you could not find the Help button.
(Hint its that big blue button with a question mark in it and the word help next to it located on the front page)

When I joined this site and when you joined it you agreed to follow the site and moderator rules not your rules.
Personally I think that if people have been on here for some time and cannot be bothered  to have a  look around the site or to read the site or moderator rules and policies or understand the general tone of FLWG they deserve a comment. This might also help might help other posters such as yourself understand the site is governed by FLWG rules and polices and not their own perceived ones.

You are grandstanding. I am sure if your Family Law help is as good as your site navigation we havent missed much. Given the option of being helped by a power tripper or the type described in your first paragraph then I will opt for the tripper.
Changing your account name is relatively easy. Whisper or email the site Moderators or email the site administrators. This is no big deal.

Entirely agree with you. There is no FAQ about changing your user name as it has to be dealt with in the data base. We need your current user name and the required NEW user name via a private email or in topic Whisper or separate personal topic post and we will amend the data base tables. It cannot be done by Moderators or via a menu.

I happen to agree with you also. What we do about it is a complex and not an easy matter. In their defence many of them are working on issues, cases and assisting people 7 days a week 18 hours a day and many do not get to bed before 3 am and are out at a day job from 7am. The problem would be resolved if we had paid full time staff who were not dealing with the hundreds of case issues that come accross weekly. However we don't have that and unless we can find some funding stream that will support such activities I can't see any easy resolution.

If you would like to participate in enhancing a number of site FAQ's we can set up access to a help FAQ area for you to do some editing work.
