Got served :(

Add Topic
I just got my marching orders from the courts and I've been served with a civil DV1 form by my ex……….and the fun and games begin I'm so lost and consumed by this.
Hi Proud

As you may be aware this is par for the course many (manly woman) are advised to take out a DVO in what they perceived to to help get an advantage in family law.  I don't mean to insult any of the ladies here but having the DVO lets some claim oh look at me I'm an abused partner (It does not make a difference if abuse happened of not)  It lets them play the victim card.     In many states on only needs to have a fear to get a DVO/AVO

1.  STAY STRONG.
2.  Use the search function and learn more about AVO/DVO
3.  Attend all hearing and Fight the claims
4.  Look for thing to escalate i.e the other person file a Form 4.
5.  Read the order and Don't violate the order even if invited in someway by the other person.
6.  STAY STRONG you are not alone and many users on this site have been through this.

Some of the more learned member so the site may have better advice.  Did I mention it  Stay Strong
Well after all the hassle the judge looked at it for about 1 minute at the mentioned asked if she had anything to say..............and then just struck it out citing it as inflamatory

What is a DV1 order?

How was it served? Did she hand it to you? What is it for? What are you supposed to have done? Has what you are supposed to have done been going on for some time? How old is all of this? i.e Is it this week? Are there children involved? Are you living together?

Well without some sort of outline we are as perplexed as you are.
