Court preaction procedure question

Add Topic
I attended mediation a few months ago, we didnt come to an agreement.
I received in the mail today, papers stating I had to attend a court date in a few weeks time.
I always thought there had to be some sort of pre action procedure before taking it to court?
I got a proposal a few months ago after a cancelled mediation session,  that talked about it being part of pre action procedure,
but seeing as I have attended a mediation session since then, don't they have to do it all over again?
The pre action procedures pre date the FRCs. If an FRC has issued a 60i certificate to one of the parties then the matter can proceed to Court.
will try explain a bit better, we both got a certificate after the first mediation was not successful, then I got some papers that stated they were court pre-action papers, but since those papers we have again gone to mediation and this time it was unsuccessful and we could not reach agreement- so  to go to court now do we need to complete the entire lot of pre-action procedures again or are the ones from the previous time still count as pre action?
Is your matter a parenting or property matter? Or both?

just parenting issues
Are there abuse allegations? Is seems a bit odd that mediation was terminated after one session. There must be a significant barrier for a S60I cert to be issued so easily? No?

Nah. My ex & I got the certificate after just 1 session. Seems the mediator was stunned the other parent just sat there & refused all reasonable offers and offered nothing at all in terms of trying to compromise. I would suggest considering caution when using such terms. Their use could backfire.
