What can we do?

My partner and I are lost and need help

My partner and I are lost. I'm a 20yr old female with a 7yr old step son. His mother is being taken to court by her ex for custody of their child but my step son is dragged into the middle of it. There are allegations of her trying to kill herself and threatening to kill the kids. Everyone is just fighting. My poor 7yr old step son is now in the midst of a seeing a psychologist for the courts and his mother is claiming he hates me and his dad.

His mum is recently religious. I have no problem with that but she isn't teaching him everything. She leaves parts out. She misinterprets the bible (Jehovah) to suit herself to push my partner out the picture. Since August of last year my partner has been seeing his son now. We won't teach him religion in this house. We can't see him again. He is a very confused child. I'm so worried about him. His father, my partner is freaking out thinking he might loose his son for good again.

I have no idea on who to talk to or what to do. We want to become an extra party to her and her ex partners court case but we dont know if we can or even if we could how to do it.  I'm so confused and worried what could happen if we don't act fast enough.

I am a little confused as to who is who in the case you are referring to and the other details are rather hazy

Is the matter is Court?

Yes you can make a 'cross application' in a case ie another party to a case

I suggest you register on the site and post a more detailed account of the circumstances and what you are trying to achieve otherwise you will only receive generic responses

I would ring the Family Relationships Centre hotline and see if they can help. They may be able to direct you to somewhere in your community that has free or subsidised legal help.

If you continue posting here, you need to be very clear about who and what is going on. Your matter sounds like something that is best sorted out face to face.
