Being an SRL if you can't read or write

I've had a query come my way, that is that a person is seeking to SRL however they cannot read or write.

I was contacted in view to perhaps seeing if FLWG could assist (before I knew that the person couldn't read or write), so my advice to get on the forum and join the SRL wasn't of any use.

Any thoughts about how this person, or persons in the same predicament, could get appropriate assistance?
They will have to go 'one on one' face to face or telephone with SRL-R which will also be very time consuming.

Do they have a support person that could read and explain documentation to them?

Many thanks for the response, it was more helpful than I expected.

I will have the question regarding a support person put to them, this will be through the person who contacted me on their behalf.

Location is perhaps another issue. The person is, I believe, located in a rural area of southern Victoria.

I know nothing of what the issues are but suspect that they may be related to care/contact.
It will be a bonus (ie. no need for the bandaid) IF the case is properly presented FOR the person "on the papers".

I have done this for many guys who are CSA targets because they earn big bucks working in mines, but are not very literate.
