is child support amount calculated by combined income?

Add Topic
My husband has 2 children from a previous relationship that he pays child support for. Him and I have had our own children since and I was wondering if when i go back to work will his child support payments increase because I am working? Do they use my income as well to calculate his child support because we are married?
Child support is based upon the combined income of the parents of the child. Your income should not be a factor, although in theory, as your husband has a duty to support you and that you are not working, this could be a factor (which the CSA will virtually definitely refuse to uphold) that is taken into consideration to reduce CS via a change of assessment (departure from the formula).

To summarise, you should not have any concern about them considering money that you earn. If they do try something then I'd suggest you return and get advice.
