Why should the parent who voluntarily chooses to have nothing to do with the children not pay the maximum child support, regardless of what the other parent earns? My kid is with me for Christmas, New year, easter, school holidays, hospital stays, holidays away from home, doctors visits, sports meetings, you name it. I am the one juggling my life and passing over promotion at work because of my huge responsibilities and I NEED A BREAK. Even for one night a year! If the other parent paid then I would not feel this bitter as I could then afford to drop a few days work to pick up their share of parenting responsibilities.
