Warning to potential SSAT applicants

I feel the need to share our experience so that others may not be put in the same situation. We went through the CSA coa process and were unhappy with the outcome.  Believing we have a case we followed through and put in an appeal to the SSAT. Part of their process is to get CSA to send out -to us, to the SSAT, and to the ex-all documentation relating to the case.  THIS DOCUMENTATION INCLUDED OUR BANK DETAILS. This is something we did not want the ex to have as we consider it private and none of her business. Also she has forged signatures in the past so giving her the bank account numbers was distressing to say the least.(We have now closed this account) We asked the commissioners office about breach of privacy issues and their reply was "the commissioner has looked into this-bank details being forwarded-and does not see a problem with it".  Well we do. If we had known our bank details were in the documentation to be forwarde, we would not have gone to the SSAT. Just want others to be aware that when going to SSAT 'THESE' details will be forwarded to the other party.

Yes, it's true

Because we are in a partnership, my income was also included in consideration of SSAT decision.  Bank accounts were requested.  I went through and blacked out irrelevant details. The most hilarious thing was that my partner's ex went through and 'decided' what income was attributed to my partner.  Naturally it had no effect, but it was quite amusing to see her handwritten notes.  It's not a breach of privacy, and there is section where you can request private details not be released.  However, CSA and SSAT do make mistakes.
Justice, we applied to SSAT over the phone and were told that the documents would be sent out. As CSA usually delete privacy issues we thought this would be the case. Nothing has been 'requested' and no opportunity given to say omit personal info. Just "CSA will send out the case notes to us, the ex and the SSAT" Thats ok but we thought numbers addressess and bank details would be blacked out. No numbers or addresses were forwarded and only our bank details, not the ex's. Yep we realise they make mistakes they're human after all, it seems they continually choose us to practise their mistakes on.;)
