Rice & Asplund a Draconian Anachronism

It is extremely hard to get back to court once you have orders. As my learned colleague suggested the provisions around ancient case law Rice and Asplund are draconian.
Well the Secretary SPCA called it 'ancient' and 'draconian' and I call it an 'anachronism' (amongst other names).

Anybody have any other additional descriptive terms for this dreadful precedent?

The Secretary SPCA had 'some concerns' that 'some' of the people in the AGs department would not understand 'anachronism' - and you want to use bigger words?

Perhaps because some of the AG employees may be from across the Tasman we should stick with two syllable expressions?

Remember lad not everyone on this site was forced down the mines at eleven years of age and only had the Greater Oxford to read for entertainment.

Rice and Asplund makes me laugh: when my partner's ex complained that he was requesting orders that would cover the child for the rest of the child's life, was she naive or incredibly machiavelian - who knows… but it highligts the importance of making orders that "grow" with the child.
