David Nash said
For a Country that prides itself on being a Nation of Peace Keepers, why is it that Canada has a so-called "Justice" System in place that asks families, during one of the most difficult times in their lives, to go to war with one another over their children? Aren't we as Canadians better than this?
In an attempt to create awareness about Children's Rights and Equal Shared Parenting Family Law Reform, this June 1st, 2010, Dave Nash of Guelph, Ontario, will begin his epic run across Canada in Victoria, BC, in his quest to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Crossing of Canada on Foot by a male (72 Days). Dave will attempt to break this record by running (and walking) exactly two and a half Marathons a day, for a total of 105 kms a day with no days off.

Dave is running across Canada to help get public support for an Equal Shared Parenting Private Members Bill, Bill C-422, which was introduced before Parliament on June 16th, 2009, by MP Maurice Vellacott of Saskatoon. Bill C-422 would reform the Divorce Act and help put Children's best interests forward by making Equal Shared Parenting the normative determination by courts dealing with situations of divorce involving children.

Mr. Nash's world record attempt will coincide with the release of Molly Murphy's new book, "Winner Take All. A Woman Exposes the Violation of Men's Rights at the Hands of Family Law." Barbara Kay of the National Post has already endorsed this book.

With the combined passion of these two advocates this campaign is sure to create controversy and get men and women talking, from one side of the country to the other, and beyond. Take this opportunity to become part of the biggest media event ever staged in Canada concerning the issue of Family Law Reform, Equal Shared Parenting, and the rights of Canadian children.
