CS nominated account

Today was clearly a day of discovery as I found out a few things today.  Here's what I found out about CS.

I receive more than one CS assessment as the payee (recipient) that are deposited into the same bank account.  For personal reasons I sought to change the nominated account for only 1 of these assesssments while leaving the other as it is. Well, apparently this is not possible according to CS and all assessments must go to the same account.  Which effectively means that although CS is being paid by completely separate people for completely separate children (so in my visual image two lines running parallel) at the other end (payee end) these lines are merged into only one assessment and the separate payments must be treated only as one.  I personally found this policy a little bizarre but oh well, there are more things strange in this world :)

It's probably more likely they only have one field for payee's bank details in the system.

If it bothers, just set up an auto direct from that bank after the payment is due.

Yeah I'd suspect that you would be correct Artemis about the programme set up.

No not really an issue it was more something I founf intriguing as I would have assumed 2 reference numbers could easily enable separate payee imput.  I guess though if I translate this into something like education it would be the same as two fathers contributing to the educational costs of two different children from the same mother.  Where regardless of the children being from separate fathers given the mother is the parent of both children the total cost of fees for a family would be the same as for 1 child.
